This Privacy Policy became effective as of October 15, 2009 and was updated on July 12, 2018.

At Cupid Intimates we’re committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and therefore don’t sell or rent our customers’ User/Personal Information to any third party.  Furthermore, we don’t share User/Personal Information with any third parties for their direct marketing purposes.

The CupidIntimates.com website (the "Site") is owned, operated, and maintained by Cupid Foundations, Inc. which does business as Cupid Intimates.  We refer to Cupid Foundations, Inc. as Cupid Intimates, the "Company," "we," "us," or "our."

This page sets forth our policies regarding the use and disclosure of information we collect from, or obtain about, the Site’s users.  We refer to these policies as our “Privacy Policy.”   In addition to the lower-case words “we,” “us,” and “our” defined above, you’ll notice that we capitalize certain words in this Privacy Policy even though the rules of grammar don’t require that they be capitalized.  We do this because these words have specific meanings in this Privacy Policy.  These specific meanings are found where the capitalized words are placed in bold text and/or inside quotation marks.

This Privacy Policy governs the use of the Site and all the websites operated by us, except where the Company may have a separate policy in place for a specific website other than the Site (an “Other Website”).  In such a case, the policy applicable to the Other Website will be available at the Other Website and will govern the use of the Other Website.  This Privacy Policy doesn’t cover information that you may provide to us, or that we may obtain through means other than the Site, such as by phone or postal mail, but please note that User/Personal Information obtained through such means will be treated in accordance with the first paragraph above, and our use of such User/Personal Information will be consistent with this Privacy Policy.  By accessing and using the Site, you’re agreeing to the terms of this Privacy Policy.  If you don’t agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy, you aren’t authorized to use the Site.  Furthermore, by providing us with User/Personal Information on this Site, you fully understand and unambiguously consent to the collection and processing of such information in the United States in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

What Information Do We Actively Collect and Inactively Gather?

User/Personal Information

When you register on the Site, we may actively collect the following user information:  your name, email address, street address, and phone number and other such information ("User Information”).  You aren’t required to register to review the materials on this Site, but may be required to provide such User Information to access one or more Site features or tools.

To process orders efficiently, when you place an order with us or register an account on the Site, we actively collect the following personal information in addition to the user information above:  your billing address, shipping address, and credit card number (“Personal Information”).  If you prefer not to disclose your Personal Information online, you can always place your order by calling 1-800-273-1659 (toll free).

We may periodically conduct surveys of visitors to our Site for internal, market research purposes.  This helps us better understand what our customers would like to see from us.  If you respond to such surveys, we may ask you for some User Information and/or may contact you for more information - but only if you’ve given us permission to do so.

Site Usage Information

Cookies and Clear GIFs

Cookies are pieces of information that are stored by your browser on your device’s hard drive.  Cookies make web surfing easier for you by saving your customer identification information while you’re at our Site.  Cookies also track where you travel on our Site and what you review.  A clear GIF is typically a one-pixel, transparent image (although it can be a visible image as well), located on a web page or in an email or other type of message, that’s retrieved from a remote site on the Internet to verify that an individual has viewed or received a web page or message.

IP Address Tracking and Clickstream Data

In addition to Cookies and Clear GIFs, our servers automatically collect data about your server’s Internet address when you visit our Site.  This information, known as an Internet Protocol Address, or “IP Address,” is a number that’s automatically assigned to your device by your Internet Service Provider whenever you’re on the Internet.  When you view pages from our Site, our servers may record or “log” your IP Address and, sometimes, your domain name.  Our server also may record the page that linked you to us, as well as related information (including any ads on which you may have clicked).  Such information is known as “Clickstream Data.”

Interconnectivity

If you receive emails or an RSS feed from us, we may use certain tools to capture data concerning when you open our messages, click on any links or banners they contain, and/or make any purchases as a result.

In some cases, we may link the non-personal information collected through the Tracking Technologies to some of your User/Personal Information.  WE WANT TO BE SURE THAT YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ACCEPTING TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES ONTO YOUR DEVICE IN NO WAY GIVES US ACCESS TO YOUR DEVICE OR ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION ABOUT YOU.  YOU MAY SET YOUR WEB BROWSER’S SOFTWARE TO REJECT TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES, BUT IF YOU DO, CERTAIN FUNCTIONALITY OF THE SITE MAY BE AFFECTED.  Third parties (including, but not limited to, software vendors, advertisers, and fulfillment companies) may also use Tracking Technologies through the Site.  WE HAVE NO CONTROL OVER WHAT INFORMATION SUCH THIRD PARTIES TRACK OR COLLECT, AND HAVE NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY FOR ANY TRACKING, DATA COLLECTION, OR OTHER ACTIVITIES OF SUCH THIRD PARTIES.

Security of the Information You Provide 

Among our top priorities is keeping your User/Personal Information secure.  We use Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all of your User/Personal Information before it’s transmitted to us so that it can be safeguarded as much as possible from being read or recorded as it travels over the Internet.  You can tell you’re sending information securely by the unbroken key icon, or closed lock icon, that appears at the top or bottom of your Internet browser's window.  These icons will appear when you’re placing an order on our Site.  In this regard, when accessing or reviewing your User/Personal Information, you’ll see our Site address change slightly, from http: to https:, indicating the use of a secure server connection.  The servers that store your User/Personal Information employ firewall and security technology.  We employ these procedures to protect your User/Personal Information from unauthorized access, destruction, use, modification, and/or disclosure.

How to Opt-Out

We’ll only send email for informational purposes unless users have indicated that they wish to receive other types of email from us and our subsidiaries.

If, at any time, you wish to stop receiving emails from us, you can always remove your name from our mailing list by sending an email to site_administrator@cupidintimates.com, stating that you wish to unsubscribe, and placing “NO EMAIL” in the subject line of the email.  Although we will promptly remove your name from our email list upon receiving your request, it’s possible that you may still receive emails from us that had been initiated prior to the removal of your name from our list.  If you sign up for text messages and then later decide you no longer wish to receive them about Cupid Intimates’ products, promotions, or events, you may respond to any text message you receive by texting “STOP.”
